Monday Night

I would like to thank all those who respond so often to my posts. That really means a lot, and it's nice to know that people are reading. :) I read and reread the things you write so it's all good. Thanks a lot.

I had another pretty good day. I am trying to slowly eat some things...and sometimes the things I eat don't exactly agree with my very sensitive stomach. Today I tried string cheese--my stomach rebelled on that one! So it was kind of a rough afternoon...but you live and learn. Tonight I have felt much better.

I was in the family room all morning (even though I was by myself). I did some crocheting and also some reading...and talked on the phone. I am trying to keep myself from atrophying so I do some exercises in bed. They are pretty wimpy exercises, but hopefully even the little things will help. So you can see it was a pretty non-eventful day, but I felt pretty well, and was up more...and didn't just sleep the whole day. Here's to a better tomorrow, and I'll post pictures tomorrow. I have some cute ones! Love to all, Louise

  1. I think we have a new video exercise series...bed head cardio...lift the head off the pillow. Lift the leg from under the blanket. Move the head to the right, and now to the left. I can hear your sweet voice narrating the video. Spence...bring out the camera... Brian, begin the rap! Louise, the bed head cardio master...here we come!

  2. Tonight we had a FHE on the Sabbath Day and we talked about things we could do that would be good on Sundays and my kids said, "Can we go visit Louise??" Courtney sat down and asked if she could read your blog today and she spent a lot of time reading it and is really concerned about you. They all want to come out. So let us know when we can bring all our germy kids out to say hello. I'm glad you are feeling better today. We love you.

  3. Here is a link to a fun website I found this week. I have spent far too much time looking around here. :) www.eighteen25.blogspot.com
If you are looking for something to do while lying around gagging on cheese sticks, this is a fun little site to visit. I'm sure you'll get some fun ideas.
    See you soon.

  4. Dear Louise:
So glad that you are feeling a bit better. We are having a LIVELY time here in France with NO GAS...there are non-stop strikes AND they are blocking the oil refineries... So today we decided to stay home next to the fire! Never a dull moment. The issue? They are increasing the retirement age to 62! If it wasn't so pathetic, it would be funny. I plan on getting my PHD at 62!!!! Or start another career... Retirement is just not in my vocabulary... Anyway, have a good day again. Love the fact you are eating a bit (but sorry about the stringy cheese)... I should send you some French cheese--nice and soft and full of fat.. mmm.. Big hug and hope you have a good one. Love, Sue

  9. I'm so glad you are feeling a bit better! That is something to celebrate, perhaps though with something other than string cheese!

    Keep up the good work,

  10. Dear Louise,
Thinking about you today and sending you blessings and prayers. I like Laura's idea about the exercise video for bed-based exercise! Sometimes that's all I feel like doing anyway! My son, Todd, broke his leg earlier this summer and he could only do couch-based exercise. I think Laura has a great idea going here! Louise, You have such a strong spirit and so much love in your heart! Congratulations to you and Spence on your anniversary too! Love, Terri
