I Believe in Christ

Hello everyone. Happy Easter! Thank you all for reassuring me that my blog is still being read. :) I guess I hadn't heard from some of you, and was beginning to wonder if I was just writing, and no one was reading. Thanks for building me up again!! :)

It has been a busy week for me. My dearest friend from forever ago (we became friends in the 4th grade!) was here for a few days, and we just had the best time. She is one of those people who you can do practically nothing with...and you still have fun. I love her very much. (I'll put pictures in a future entry). Even driving to Dairy Queen to bring a car to my daughter was a fun adventure. That is how it is when I'm with my friend, Sharie!

One of the things we did was to go over to our Arizona Temple grounds to see the annual Easter pageant. They set up a large stage right there on the temple grounds, and portray the life of Christ. It takes just a little over an hour, and it is a beautiful production. There is music and dancing and narration...and it is such a touching and profound way to truly celebrate what Easter is really about--the resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ. So today I just wanted to share with all of you my feelings about my Savior. I love Him--I honor Him as the Son of our Heavenly Father, who came to earth to show us the way to live. His is the perfect example of how we can be like our Father in Heaven. He is there to save and redeem us, and through Him, we can return to our Heavenly Father. Through what He did in the Garden of Gethsemane, and on the cross, He has made it possible for us to live with Father in Heaven again. He took upon Himself all of our sins and suffered for them--and if we acknowledge our own personal sins and repent of them, through His atonement, we can be made clean...and live with Heavenly Father again. His was the supreme act of love and sacrifice, and He did it because of His love for us. I am extremely grateful for Him, and pray that I can be worthy of His great sacrifice...because my greatest hope is to live with Him and His Father again. I hope and pray that all of us will consider what He has done for us...and truly rejoice that He has made eternal life possible for all of us. So have a happy and meaningful Easter. Much love always, Louise

  1. Louise, yes the Easter Pagaent was so beautiful, we enjoyed it very much, the lighting was super. The entire pagaent was profound and truly touching, the end, wow...Christ glowed in that cloud of smoke with angels
on the roof below him with trumpets. I have gone to this pagaent since 1960 or so...it gets better each year.
A very Happy Easter to you and your family also, I wish I could make it but I wound up in ER after my last post to you.....after going to the Statclinix!
At 5am after a sleeping pill I was still awake crying in pain! The ER room at Scottsdale Hosp on Shea.....put IV in and started Morphine asap, did
not help..so tried another pain killer, did not work, so they doubled the Morphine and more or less put me out until 11am to do xrays, blood work etc......sent me home with bottles of meds!! One said for patients
with tummy problems due to radiation for cancer!?? They think it is
a gout of most serious kind....but not sure, wow, I always seem to get
the stuff no meds work on. Now have Oxicoton, percocet stuff.....can't use as I have allery to most pain meds and can't be transfused as my blood is so rare, RH Neg Factor 2 (2% of population have my blood). Well
gal I hope this makes you feel a little better in the spot you have been in, I know you wish me as you do everyone the best, but sometimes just knowing others share your pain issues helps. My blood type was reason I lost all my children.....on last miscarriage I needed blood bad, they had to transfuse me with plasma and after a few days told me I was on my own, only God could help me, wow....that is when I figured it all out, sometimes only our saviour can help us, so His dying for us was the supreme act of love and.....yes I and truly grateful He did this for all of us. Happy Easter, hope I did not write too much, my feet don't work but my fingers still do, tee hee.

    Luv ya gal, Peggy

  2. Happy Easter!! Thank you for sharing your testimony of Jesus Christ. The older I get the more I realize my dependency on Him and what a gift he has given me/us. I echo your words about Him.

  5. I loved how you put your feelings of our Savior. Yes we are truly blessed to have had his atonement on our behalf. We must just do our part and return to our Heavenly Father. We are truly blessed!
